As a singer/songwriter, I truly believe that life is all about taking risks. Whether I succeed or fail, I want to be able to say that I gave it my best shot no matter what the challenge. In the music industry, you can't be afraid to take risks. I never know what kind of lyrics or melodies I'm going to end up making until I put them all together and they form a beautiful mosaic of notes and words. I have to take the chance and release those mosaics not knowing if people will appreciate them or not. I think that makes my job so fun and interesting and a true journey. As long as I know that I am growing and learning from all of my endeavors, all of the risks are worth it in the end!

Last year, I competed in The You, God's Music competition which is like a Nationwide Christian "American Idol" and finished 9th overall. it was an amazing experience and during the final show I got to meet several well known Christian artists and rap onstage with the Newsboys!
